Hello - Thank you for the suggestion.  We have added this update to the next release of the Windows client and are continuing to investigate the feasibility of adding it to the Mac client.

If you choose to quit IdF with unsaved results, you are asked:

Save Results

You have remaining results that you may save now and open later for analysis within Identity Finder.  Would you like to securely save your results?

<No> <Yes>

If you change your mind and want to return to the search results, there's no way to cancel this operation at this point.

If you select <No>, Identity Finder quits.

If you select <Yes>, you're required to "Save Secure IdF Results File".  If you select <Cancel> from the "Save Secure IdF Results File" the application quits.

There should be a <Cancel> button on the "Save Results" screen and if you select <Cancel> from the "Save Secure IdF Results File one should be returned to the IdF results screen.  This would mimic similar behavior in most applications when quitting an application with unsaved information.

e.g.  

Start an MS Office 2008 Word document and type something.

Quit Word, you're asked if you want "save the changes  you made to docuement1?"  <Don't Save> <Cancel> <Save>

If you select <Save>, and then select <Cancel> you are returned to the document, Word doesn't quit on you.
