The current (Feb 17 but listed as Feb 15 on the Web site) postinstall installer script copies the system plist and sets the permissions to 755. The ownership is not set explicitly but should default to root:admin.

Virtually every other plist in the local domain’s Preferences folder is saved with 644 permissions. We would like to see IDF Mac Edition adopt this practice in the installer build scripts and operate correctly with a system plist that is owned by root:admin and has 644 permissions.

Thanks!

Thank you for the suggestion.  The system plist will be set to root:admin and 644.
