I would love to be able to disable the ability to perform Exchange search by policy - so even if a user has the credentials to search the Exchange server and we are licensed, we can disable it in the client.

I would love to be able to disable the "Search all available mailboxes" and force the user to specify mailboxes.

Thanks for listening!

Hello - thank you for the feedback.

You have made a 2 part feature request here.  The first - the ability to disable the exchange server via policy - is an easy one.  Please update your policy definitions to version 2012062513164923 or later and look for these new settings:
Settings\Locations\Email\ExchangeServer\IncludeExchangeInEmailSearch
Settings\Locations\Email\ExchangeServer\SelectedExchangeServerState

The second part - being able to completely configure exchange search via policy is on our roadmap.

Thanks, that's exactly what I was looking for.

Although I noticed that the setting says that it's set to "Do not include" as the default setting?  When it appears it's actually enabled by default. But that's not what it looks like as the policy setting shows "Do not include" has the default next to it.  Unless I set it to that - it doesn't take effect as not included.

Thanks again for the update!

Hello - a fresh install (no settings from policy or set via the installer) should have the "Search Microsoft Exchange Server" checkbox in the client UI cleared (eg "Do not include").
