The simplest way for Healthcare organizations to prevent data leakage is to find and clean sensitive data, often referred to as patient health information or protected health information (PHI). This proactive and preventive act falls in line with HIPAA regulatory requirements which call for organizations to proactively protect patient health information.

Identity Finder has built an industry specific solution for Healthcare providers. Included within the technology is a MultiFind template for finding PHI. The MultiFind mode allows Identity Finder to find multiple pieces of sensitive data in a single location before returning a match. This template can be modified as desired by organizations to hone in on specific PHI unique to the organization. In addition, the software can be uploaded with dictionaries of keywords so ICD9 codes and other sensitive terms can be easily and quickly identified.
